The Tokyo Jidai Matsuri is a parade along the Kaminarimon Avenue sponsored by the Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa. Tracing Tokyo’s cultural and legendary history, the procession of 1,500 people in costumes also features the golden dragon and the traditional white heron dance. The festival is held every 3rd of November (Culture Day, a national holiday) at 1:30pm.
