The Yabusame archery competition at Nikko will be held on the 16th of October. As for special arrangements with your husband, this would have to be done in japanese.
May I advise you to make your travel arrangements with a foreign travel agent in Tokyo (most Japanese do not speak english and do not fully understand the needs of foreigners). Without wanting to sound like beating a drum, I would recommend my husband, Michel Haour, who is a travel agent in Tokyo for over 35 years.
